CC306 + N2O VS GTP LT4 w/CC306

Well I am second guessing myself and wanted some input. I am considering either installing a GTP Ported LT4 Head/Intake Combo w/CC306 or selling the top end and just doing the CC306 and a TNT Wet Kit. My supporting mods are in my sig.

I think the cam juice would make more power and better times, but I also think that much shock might be the end of my bottom end. N/A 400rwhp is always pretty sweet and would be under the common stock bottom end explosion point.

Of course all the obvious pro's and cons exist. Gas Mileage, engine wear, nitrous backfire, etc.

Just wanted some feedback on my options, thanks.

Well just put the LT4 heads, CC306 and get it running then put the spray on it and really go fast see sig for details. Your stock bottomend is a tossup either way but run it until you find the weakpoint. Later Clint

Well that was the original plan. Reading many old posts from you and your setup has inspired me to go this route. After some thought today while driving around I am heavily leaning towards doing the H/C. My buddy wont stop pressuring me till there is juice on the car so eventually I might run a 50 or 75 shot or something. Its either going to be my last ride or a crazy freaking ride, or maybe both. If I could pull one 10 second pass then blow it I'd be very satisfied with the stock bottom end. Not many of those running around with 10 second slips. NA only I'd like some mid to low 11's, which with the diet my car is going on shouldnt be out of reach.

PS The car the heads came off of also ran a CC306 in a 355 w/ T56 and 9" rear and put down 428rwhp on 17x10 rims. So I kinda know what I'm looking at.

Hey, Dustin. hows the stall working out? I just got done with the t56 conversion. I have LE3 and the 306 cam set up with a 150 shot and have had no problems with the stock bottom. I'm sure it's coming I'd go with the H/C set up don't sell yourself short

The stall seems to be working flawlessly[Thank you very much], along with the Pro Built 'Pro Street'. What are you revving it to? My LT4's probably flow as well or better than LE3's so it would be a good comparison. I'll be trying for solid mid 11's motor, then low 11's possible 10's with some juice.

Yea, I'm about 95% H/C right now. I'n so excited I feel like getting the rest of the parts at Summit tomorrow.

Like i was telling you on the phone. I ran a 11.78 with a crappy tune and stock 4l60e with stock stall. That was with the LE3/306 +150 shot. I was shifting at around 6400.

Like Chad said, go with the H/C, I went a similar route, I had the cc306 and heads along with the TNT kit. I did not get round to spraying it with that combo though unfortunately, I will now have a different combo soon

It is up by Avon Lake/Westlake area, just a town over. Had a look at the post and will see if I can make it. I am a member of neofb.com and try and make as many of the events I can. I will be at TITN (GMR Speed's event) in July for sure. I usually head up to the Steak n Lube in Sheffield most Sundays in the summer. It is going to be a fun summer!
