CC306 Installed!!!!

Well, I just installed the cc306, comp r roller lifters, heavily ported lt1 heads, port matched intake, 52mm TB, Jet Jot lt's, otvc wires, and programming by Madz28.com and finally got to the initial startup tonight. All I can say so far is Oh My God!!!! It sounds bada@@ now...I still have to adjust the rockers some and install the alternator(only ran the car for a few minutes to check oil pressure, rockers, etc..) I can't wait to get my exhaust on the car and everything else buttoned up so I can drive it. My exhaust will be true dual 3" Bullets with x-pipe.. I can't wait....I can't believe how good it sounds....cc306 definately the right choice. It loped very good just idling...so I can't wait to hear it under a load. Anyway, just thought I would share the latest.

Very nice! You'll be even happier when you take it around the block for the first time

Yeah...I can't wait. I am busy the next couple of days, so it will at least be Sunday before I get a chance to finish it up. Then I will have to wait on a day off to get the exhaust done. But it will be well worth the wait I can tell already.

I really like the way the 306 sounds, it is one of the best sounding cams that I have heard.

.

Confucious say: "when cranking a car with valvetrain mods for the first time= better to use expression "start" it up,
NOT 'FIRE' it up"...
lol

LOL! I remember when my brother started his Jeep for the first time after the motor rebuild.... He had a fire extinguisher ready Luckily he didn't need it.

Once I get the exhaust done I will get some videos or sound clips of it. I did do alot of mods at once...hopefully I will have no problems feeling a "seat of the pants" gain.

Well, I got the car all buttoned up and drove it last night. Everything seems fine..the only problem I had was when got down on it just a little and then let it idle back down, when cruising it was stumbling a little. I am assuming that this is just because I had open headers and the o2 sensors were so close to outside air and making it very rich. So I think that is okay. I haven't stomped it yet, because I am going to break it in for a little while.

what are the full specs on that cam anyway?
The specs are 230/245....510/540 with a 112 lobe seperation.
