Probably cause it starts pulling hard after 3K!

Yeah it comes on around 3k for sure. Since my car has 3.23s in it still it shows up alot. If i mash the gas below 3k, say around 2k as soon as it hit 3-3500rpm it just blower the tires off of it! At the drag strip a 3500-4500rpm launch is a must.

3k+ is sweet exhaust note starts screaming right about that time too! Freeway speeds are fun too, crazy top end compared to stock, I can't wait to get my heads ported... Don't worry about driveability, I'm running the stock tune right now (waiting on cable...) and it's behavior is acceptable to me for stop n go.

Why'd you sell your magnaflow?! I have one and I love it! I was worried about it being too loud with no cat, but I think it sounds nice at idle, definitely hideable with a little gas if you're worried about cops. And as long as you don't rev it past 3k (BORING!) it's quiet. I understand where you're coming from though, I'm going to put those vortex cone things in after my cutout, make it more sleeper like....
