Cc306 Hmmmmmm

well .. i placed the cam in its place... and made sure its all the way in .. then when i put the timechain and try to place the cover in place .. noticed that the metal nipple thingy coming out of the cam top is hitting the cover

.. is that normal ?... well what i did was cut that nipple down to the same old stock cam nipple length and installed the cover fine .. did you guys face the same thing with your comp cam 306 ??????????????????

Re: Cc306 Hmmmmmm

yeah I've heard of that too....just make sure that whenever you are installing a new cam in an LT1 you measure the dowel pin (metal thingy sticking out of the cam) to make sure it's the same length as the old cam. I learned the hard way the first time and ended up destroying a brand new opti because I left the pin out too long.....

Re: Cc306 Hmmmmmm

I used a dremel and cut it down to the proper length. It took it right off...I got mine from Comp, it was way too long...
