Hot Cam. more ponies, good idle, no reprogramming needed although if you do you can grab about 10 to 20 more. Plus the hotcam has a killer 1.6RR/lifter/springs/cam kit price.

There was just liek 2 or 3 psot about cams durign the last 24 hrs.

It all depends on what you want. If you want it to be mean, then there are better choices than an LT4 hot cam. For a daily driven car, the Hot cam is beter. Programin is recomended for all cams.

You can probably do a search and find other peoiple's opinion.

How do you explain the hotcam makes more power than a CC305? The 305 has more duration, more lift. I played with these 2 cams extesively on DD2000 (I know, not the real world, but still better than nothing) and the Hotcam gave up 50-75hp to the 305. Just wondering if ya got some real world numbers to back ya up?

Steve my man they lied to you

1. More power, Over the CC305? Cc305 is just as a good of cam if not better

2. Hot Cam technicaly would have a worse idle from a CC305 seeing its a 112lsa over the 305s 114. Both really idle the same once tuned.

3. No prgramming, no way, you need programing. Its still a large cam and it needs to be programmed. You shouldn't leave a Lt4 on stock progarming you will fail. And your right, you will gain some with a good tune

4. I heard not so great things about hot cam springs, aren't they .525 single coils? They max for the hot cam and thats it. Lifters and rockers must be decent. Its the srpings that I hear techs complain about.

Anderson, you done good with finding that dyno. I'll buy you a coke next time in your neck of the woods.

For how close they are to each other, you cant beat the Hot Cam kit price. Heck i got a once in a life time deal for a new hotcam kit shipped COD for 360....

if money wasnt an option, yea maybe i'd go with a cc305...
