cc305 vs. cc503

I have been doing a lot of reading through old threads and anytime someone wants to cam a stock headed LT1 both of these cams (as well as the hotcam) are brought up.

The engine will be out of my car soon to fix a blown headgasket so I decided to go ahead and put a cam in it at the same time. What is the major difference between the cc305 and the cc503?? I need something that will pass emissions and is nice for a daily driver which I believe both of these will do.

Also, what else is needed in the valvetrain department besides:

-Rockers (1.6)
-Guideplates (for NSA)
-Rocker studs
-Springs (I think I would have to go with the beehive because of the lift???)
-Valve seals

What am I missing????

Thanks

need lock and retainers. Lifters and timing chain set would be a good idea. Hardened pushrods while you're at it.

Or make our own sticky with all of them. We should include the new ones like the voodoo grinds and any others as well.

Yes I have looked at the specs for both of them before but I would really like to know how much power people make with each of them and what the difference really is. I see that the 503 has a little more duration but a little less lift but I don't know what that translates to in power and driveability.

503 has faster ramps too, so it should help make more power under the curve.

Yea I saw the sound clip and it sounds really good. After reading some more threads and talking to a friend I have decided to go with the cc503 cam. Just have to get all the parts I need together.
