CC305 STILL works! New best street tire ET/MPH

Went to the track tonight, not really looking for a new best because my ET Streets are finally shot. I ended up running a new street tire best ET and MPH.

60' ........... 2.256
1/8 .......... 8.555
MPH .......... 88.156
1/4 .......... 13.001
MPH ......... 111.506

I generally cut low 2.1 60's, so I know a high 12 on street tires is doable. I was pretty happy to see the mph in the mid 111s and 88 in the 1/8. I will have a new set of 26 x 11.5 ET Streets in a few weeks. Should run around 89 in the 1/8 and 112+. Will have some more numbers soon.

Old school cc305 still works.

Hehe, thanks. No shot - I'd be pissed if I was only trapping 111 w/n2o.

just curious, did you stick with the stock heads for a reason? I ask cuz I've done some reading on smaller ports for higher velocity for n/a and supercharged cars. great times btw.

Thanks.

I didn't really "stick" with the stock heads...just can't afford heads right now...still in school.

Nice times + trap. I feel you on the student thing. Made it hard to even afford a cam swap

Nice times and trap speed. My car trapped less mph than yours in the 1/8th and its a heads/cam car. Granted it still has some issues that need worked out. Here is what I put down last weekend for some comparison.

60ft time- 2.59
1/8 ET- 9.17
MPH- 87.00
I was on my street tires and it was either blow them off out of the hole or bog.

That 60' is killing your MPH. You'd be surprised how much hooking hard out of the hole will raise your MPH. Those who say spinning increases MPH must not have much real world track experience. Get some real tires on that thing and it will surprise you.
