I wish I had a sound clip of mine, I think you'd like it. It's fairly lopey w/ my LTs, but not like a CC306 of course, but it is definitely noticeable.

Very nice, nothing like the 306 but after hearing that i'd consider it.

Hey man its not all about the sound.... dont go overboard with the 306 if you dont have the motor to back it... The CC305 is good for stock motors.... It requires different springs but its not a big deal... With a little tuning and a good converter to go with it it works out pretty nice..

Re: CC305 Sound clip?

hey firebird355, what lobe seperation is that? 114? oh and what is that idle set at? 1000?

im curious because i have a schnieder cam that has almost the same exact specs as a cc305 and if it will sound like that i am all for it. i would turn idle to about 800 and leave it be.

Re: CC305 Sound clip?

The tune cam make a difference on sound also. I had a friend who was running a 257 intake and 268 ex duration cam, in a 383, and it idled at 950 rpm and sounded very mild, until he ran a 10.82 in the 1/4. Exhaust materials, tune, temps outside, etc and recording device make a little bit of difference. See if anyone on the forum lives around you. do a search?
