CC305 with LT4 Springs

well my cam might be messed up... cars been down for a while.. valves (poly locks) keep coming loose and backing out.. tried lock tight and differnt valve adjustment proceedures... but anyway i come across a theory that the cam might be "soft" and the car did not idle up to operating temp when cam was first put in (so is my cam crap now?) but thinking about going with a bigger CC305 or maybe 306 mods in sig.. let me know opinions

I have Lt4 hot cam springs and the cc305 with 1.5 RR and have been running them for 15K miles without any issues. I currently spin my motor to 5900rpms. The Hot cam springs are rated at .525 lift and the cc305 cam is rated .510 lift with 1.5 Rockers. I believe the cc305 has an agressive ramp speed but I have never had any problems with my car and those springs. You can also get a really good set of springs and retainers for like 90 bucks from combination motorsports. CMotorsports springs fit on stock heads and the heads dont need to be machined to get them to fit. I have also heard that thier springs can handle .600 lift on some pretty radical cams.

Hope that helps,
Claude
