The CC 305 can be used on the street, as a lot of the guys on here have the 305 cam in their daily drivers. I don't know about your comp "freaking out" or whatever, but it would be best interest to have it tuned for the cam.

I agree. Just depends on the owner of the car I guess.

I read in your sig that you are stock. You'll really want some headers before you drop in a cam, IMO. Don't choke your car by having a good cam w/ those crappy manifolds. Do some exhaust work as well.

I have that cam and its daily driver safe,If you want to get the most out of it however you need to tune the pcm.Its easy send it to www. pcmforless.com or another tuner and send all your specs along with it they send it back to you in a few days tuned,or have them send you a tuned pcm and send them yours as a core.Super easy and then you have no down time.

With hooker lt's, and a free flow cat, and that cam with maybe mild porting what kind of performance do you think i might see? maybe above 330 rwhp? and the dyno tune of course, and what about without porting of the heads?

cc305 is a bit more agreesive then the lt4 hotcam, so ur heads will be fine with it.... and its all for street use... (i dunno bout emissions tho) computers always freak out, so a tune would always be good, contact ion at madz28.com

i'm personally going for a cc306... i know its huge for street use, and especially automatic, but i want a big cam... i'll be getting my heads about a month or 2 after the cam too also so its all good...

here is my route... maybe it can give u some ideas

march : pacesetter longtubes
april: cc306 (might get cc305, or hotcam, but i really want cc306)
may: saveup for heads
june: heads save up
july: heads
august: tq verter (3500 stall)
sept: 3.73s
xmas time or jan 05: 12 bolt

and i'll be set

:P

lol, i know that kinda off topic

Mine's got a CC305...Runs 12.0, and I can drive it anywhere.

All the specifics are in sig, and on web page.

The street manners of the cc305 are tame. It feels stock to me until you stand on it. You should be able to pass CA emmissions too, I did with a pcmforless tune. I really wish I could go bigger but hell, I have enough problems with the car as it is.

12SCNDZ- did you have your heads matched to the cam?

My head porter knew what cam I was going with. They have a race port job which flow 271 CFM @ .550" with 2.0"-1.56" Manley Pro-Flo valves.

The CC305 is called "mild" so often by people. The fact is, I think too many are overcammed. There's alot of people with much larger cams than mine running alot slower. Also keep in mind that my car runs 12.0 @ 112 MPH with MAC headers, stock suspension, and full weight.

i'm thinkin of gettin this cam too, ran across this thread via search

does this cam give you a lopey idle? i'm lookin at gettin a cam along with some other junk, but i wanna make sure that if i put a cam in the engine that it SOUNDS like it has a cam in it

and does it pass emissions? if so what kind of HC readings do you get with it?

thanks
