CC on Stock heads

I did a search and i find mixed replys on what the CC is on the stock head. I read anywhere from 52 CC to 58 CC. Does anyone know the exact specs on it?

Gotcha i have another question so im going to buy 383 shortblock and the guy as Probe SRS Dishtop pistons with a dish volume of 20.4cc, it gives a compression of 9.81 on a 58cc head, what do you think the compression would be with the stock 54cc?

That seems like an awful big dish for an LT1 setup. Your other post indicates you now calculate 10.5:1 with a 20.4cc dish. Are you sure you got that right? And, don't guess at the head cc's ot use someone else's results..... measure it on your heads.

The kit to measure cc's is pretty cheap....buy it and just keep it on a shelf.

Assumptions are the easiest way to screw stuff up.

A few years back I bought a set of heads...I assumed I had 2.08 intake valves in the heads...ordered some pistons based off this assumed knowledge. Guess what happens when you discover your 2.08 intake valve is actually 2.20....luckily I discovered this pre build...but I had to send the pistons back to get them cut to accept a larger valves.
