from what i have seen the ones that cc calls for are 295 lbs, and the lt4 hot cam springs ate 310 so i think the lt4 onse should work right, and also if some one can help me out with the bin file that would be cool, i just want a place to start

Your right the lt4 hotcam springs will not handle the 306 lift height. I think I'm running cc 987 springs, " i think thats the number" I had LE do my heads

i dont see why not seeing that the lbs per inch is higher then what they say the 306 cam needs, i am confused. 295lbs for the cc springs cant remember the # and 310 lbs for the lt4 hot cam, abd if you compare the two thre inst that much lift diff just duratiion

The lt4 hotcam springs are only good to like .525 lift or something lame. They wont handle the lift #'s of a cc306 with 1.6 rockers. Can you say COILBIND.

the 306 is somewhere in the 570 lift range once you throw the 1.6 rocker arms on it. thats will put the lt4 springs into coil bind.

i think its 576 so the lt4 springs won't be springs for very long. more like pieces of metal

Re: cc 306 engines done and cars running great...any predictions?

I talked to a few people and the 918 beehives are what i went with with my cc306. I haven't dynoed it yet but they don't seam to float all the way up to 6800 with the steel retainers. Car ran 12.424@114.09mph with a crappy 1.993 60' on stock heads and a full weight car without the front swaybar and jack/spair. The spec III was also toasted after i came back from the track so i think the car has 11's in it if i can hook it.
