Obviously a cut-out, less of a restriction on the exhaust flow. you have a flowmaster cat-back but there are alot of cat-backs more powerful than the flowmaster.

Catback will cost much more, but will sound and look cleaner...Cutouts cheap and gives you a few more hp then a catback, and will be loud as heck depending on where you put it uncapped

I used to have a flowmaster 80 series muffler. After installing the cutout just before the muffler I dropped .15 tenths off my ET and picked up 2mph!

Cutout. Louder, cheaper, more horsepower.

Is there such a thing as to much flow? I think it would be loud as all hell.

It will sound very good with the cut out and long tubes. When i had stock manifolds and no cats, the car was just very loud and sounded like a dump truck with the cut out open. Now with long tubes and off road y-pipe, it sounds very good. It's also quiter now with the long tubes then it was with the manifolds. And there is no such thing as to much air flow

I have long tubes, gutted cats and if my cutout is open it sounds like total ***. I've even had block off plates made for my cutout, and they all sound like *** to me. I personally think it's to loud (this after running open cutout for a year before LT's). But that's just my opinion on it.

i would steer clear of the cutout. IF you don't have a cat and then you do a cutout you may not have enough backpresure. Also, with headers, the cutout will sound like crap. There is no tone to it at all, jsut obnoxious sound. Plus, it is illegal to drive on the streets in a lot of places. Just go iwth a nice catback and get done wiht it
