Catback

Are there any particular reason to get a catback, except for the 3" pipes, instead of just a muffler. I thought that our stock exhaust were mandrel bent and stainless steel? BTW,the car is bone stock, except for the CAI. Thanks

Ok the 3" tailpipes are only for show. They won't increase the flow of the exhaust. You are definitly gonna want to get a cat-back. The 3" under the car will help out greatly. I would have to recomend either SLP loudmouth or the Corsa. The SLP one will be very loud, but sound awesome. I love it on my car. If your just going for sound and don't want to spend a lot, then get a muffler, but a cat-back is definitly worth it. The Corsa is not too loud at idle, but when WOT it sounds awesome.

erm, my old exhaust didn't look mandrel bent. it had a bunch of creases in it. and its 2.5 inches, vs the 3 inches of an aftermarket one. But yeah, the stock exhaust isn't TOO bad, its just most people would rather have a freeer flowing system. they look and sound better..

The factory intermediate pipe is 2 3/4, and the tail pipes ae 2 1/4, most aftermarkets are 3" and tails are 2 1/2.
