Cat Converter

Alright, i did a search, came up with nothing.

How good is the stock converter? How much difference would it make if i switched to a free flowing cat?

In about two weeks i should have K&N FIPK, SLP Y Pipe, SLP Loudmouth installed on the car. I dont really feel like spending any more money if its not necessary.

I've never seen a dyno comparing a stock and high flow cat. You're more than likely to gain a few HP with a high flow cat but it would be cheaper to simply gut the cat.

I would recommend just get some brqackets installed so you can swap in an off road pipe whenever you want.

Unless your current cat is clogged, I don't think you're going to see enough of a gain to justify the cost of a high flow cat. I'd just wait until your cat dies or go ahead with an offroad pipe since it's cheaper.

I did not think that the cat is a major source of restriction, I got a y-pipe, i wasnt sure about purchasing that also when i am not installing headers but some people said that the y pipe should free up a good 10 rwhp? I got a new slp y pipe for 80 dollars shipped, so it wasnt that expensive.
