cat back problems

I've just installed the hooker super comp catback for my 95, and I'm having some problems with it. Everything seals up ok but upon accelerating around 3k-4k I get vibrations that come through the seat, feels like an unbalanced driveshaft or something, but its at in any gear. I had to let the pipe rest on that crossbrace just after the cat for it to fit, but I think thats one place it could be coming from. Car just feels rough in general.

Also, In order to get my passenger side tip to line up correctly I had the wedge the pipe leading to the tip against part of the plastic underbody.

Also my muffler is sitting so close the the gas tank that the heat shield in rattling from it. Is it alright to remove that shield? Could I place something in either place to absorb those vibrations?

Other than that, it seems that I don't have nearly as much low end torque as before, it this normal?

Other than that the system sounds AWESOME, but it would be nice to get rid of these problems.
