cat

Have read in a few posts about gutting the cat,my question is does this throw any codes after its done?..I am in the process of installing new exhaust with a cat back kit.My car is a 1995 z with 112k on it and looks like it still has the stock cat.Have thought about replacing this along with exhaust.where to find one other then stock?Thanks for the help.

You can cut the cats out and sell them, most places will pay like 50$ for a cat because our gm cats have a lot of precious metals in them

There are no diagnostics/codes related to the cat on your OBD-I 1995 LT1. The after-cat O2 sensors were added in 1996 model year, as part of OBD-II.
