cast iron cutout question

cast iron cutout question

What can you use to stick those bad boys on?! Since its cast...welding prob wont work... and braseing, what would you use, brass? ANY input would be great (besides" dont buy cast iron")

Spend $25 on a steel cutout and/or dont put a cutout on a v6.

But its the obvious answer to his question and if he doesnt like it he can go back to V6 tech where he belongs.

it isnt for my v6, its for my dads Z... sorry that the questions is to hard for you to answeer. My dad just thought he would ask me...He is a big boy and doesnt ********** to message boards. Not very smart to talk like that being a "supporting vendor" and all... really a good way to get customers, being an a$$.

Save yourself trouble and just get a steel cutout, like I posted once already. you CAN weld iron to steel with the correct type of welding wire. The other option is to clamp it with wide T clamps, neither of which is an ideal solution. Where do you get a cast iron cutout anyway?

Those are leftover rejects from the 80s. I wouldn't waste your time and money. I've used those in the past and I gaurentee the cables will be rusted and unmovable within a few months. Been there, done that.
