is that the brace that goes across the drive shaft behind the transmission x member? do any of you all with duals and an x still have it? i am still debating on exactly how i want them installed and cant tell if yall have one or not. seems you could get more ground clearance with out it

I have a G load brace on my car and I was thinking of going true duals.
The bad news is, I don,t think it can be done with a Gload brace on the car.
There is just not enough room to run the pipe over the brace. So your options are
1 run no brace at all.
2 run the stock brace. (wavy metal thing)
3 I think BMR makes a Gload brace that incorporates a drive shaft loop and is notched for ypipe clearance, of course then you are not running true duals.

Maybe it can be done, but I have not seen it yet and can,t figure a way around it except to run your pipes straight back from the collectors and out to the sides just in front of the tires.

i think running under it would be ok. there wouldnt be any less ground clearance than the collector had. need some one like kmook in here.

At stock ride height I was hitting my Gload brace on speedbumps and hight spots so running a pipe UNDER it would be a bad thing.
I have this oval pipe idea like Nascar uses and I think it would work but the pipe would straight off the collectors and then turn into oval pipe and exit out the sides, you could then keep your Gload brace no problem.

You speakida my name, and here i be.

It depends what you are refering to. I had a spohn torque arm and it has a crossmember brace behind the trans. That was way to big to have piping go under it.

Funny thing is that was soo long ago, i cant remember if there was any kind of stock brace there lol

Lots of guys are going without the brace so I would think it is not absolutely necessary.
you could run without it and not have any probs.

I like your sig by the way, you have a good sense of humor and it will take you a long way.

I ran with the brace on mine in the pics in my sig. I now have it off. Really no use for it now. My duals will keep my drive-shaft from falling to the ground.
