? on CarFax results I have

One of the guys on the boards did a favor and pulled a CarFax on a 96SS I'm looking at...the car returned as:

1996 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z28

Is this typical for an SS? The guy has a build number, but I don't know how to verify that his build number really is his car.

Get the VIN# form him and run it on the SLP message board. Camaro SS/Firehawk build numbers. There was another site that did it, but I can't remember it.

I wouldn't be too worried about what Carfax says on the model. It IS a Z28 with an SS option. It just doesn't list the option in the description.

If you are really wary of the seller I believe your only real option to verify the car is to send the VIN to SLP for verification.
