carbed LT1 for the chevelle?
carbed LT1 for the chevelle?
i stumbled across a bare LT1 block and i was just going to let it sit and slowly build it for my Z but i was contimplating building it with a carb for my chevelle
it would be a 377 stroker (383 crank,stock bore)
i have had it down to the machine shop and it just needs honed.
i have a Scat nodular 383 crank in the garage just sitting too. SO.......
the setup would be as follows......
Scat 9000 383 crank
Scat I-beam rods
flat top hypo pistons
222/230 cam
3 angle valve job/stage 1 ported stock LT1 castings
1.6 RR's
Barry Grant 750 carb
GM Intake
whatcha think? i was just going to build a regular 350 but then ill have to pay an assload for decent heads. with this i can u stockers and get the benifit of them being aluminum and get good pwer from them without spending the $$$$. remeber this doesnt have to make a ton of power, i would be happy with 300RWHP,350RWTQ through a TH350 (4l60 later on)
any opinions appreciated. dj
