Carbed LT1

I have a 1980 z28 and its 350 has been giving me a hell of a lot of trouble. I dont have time to wait for the engine to be sent to a machine shop to get it rebuilt so my friends offered me a 93 LT1 and im affraid of using the computers and crap so i wanted to go carbbed. What manifold can i use not worried about making power just a plane jain manifold that will allow me to use a carb on an lt1. Also if there are any reasons why this is a bad idea please let me know...

Its a good idea to use that 93 over the old iron boat anchor. There is a carb manifold for the LT1's but I am not sure how much it sells for. Check online in google or yahoo search. It would definetly wake that sucker up. If the engine is out, do a cam, springs, and rockers before it goes in
