i have a 95 camaro z28. 6speed. im haveing alott of motor problems and was wondering if itspossible todo i carb swap. i have a built 70s 350 so itd be easier to just drop that in.
how hard is it todo if possible?
anyone have pics?

yes you could put that in there but there is something with clearance with a regular distributor, maybe someone with this kind of experience could chime in?

 

It would suck dropping the engine to change a distributor cap.

 

I believe the clearance problem is with the standard FI intake manifold and a standard HEI distributor....it may fit fine with the carb intake setup.

 

thanks guys. i have decided its a bad idea to do away with the fuel injection lt1 setup.
can i use the short block from the carb. 350? do the bolt pattern match the lt1 heads?

 

This Is an even worse idea. Lt1 engines are reverse flow cooled, the standard chev sb is not. You can much more easily carb an lt1 than adapt lt1 heads to an old small block....
