Car wouldn't start until I had it at WOT while cranking it...what's up?
So yesterday I drove to work at 9, everything was fine. Went to start the car at 5 when I was leaving and it just turned...nothing.
I tried to give it a little gas when I was turning it over and the car would chug like it wanted to turn over, then when I stopped turning it over it would continue to chug (basically like it was turning at about 100 rpms) for about 10 seconds, then die all together. I did this three times.
Then tried to bypass the MSD Digital 6...nothing.
Tried to play with the MAF connections...nothing.
Then I decided to just crank the car over while holding the throttle at WOT...cranked it for about 30-40 seconds like this and finally it turned over.
I drove it home, it was fine the whole way, I turned it off and started it again about 10 mins later and it started fine.
What happened?!?!
I haven't tried to start it since yesterday...
Let me know what you think might have been the problem.
Thanks,
Eric

Putting the pedal on the floor puts the PCM in "clear flood" mode. It basically stops spraying additional fuel, on the assumption that the cylinders are flooded and don't need any more. Check for leaking injectors.
Probably fuel bleeding off into the cylinders after the car is shut off.
Thanks Fred, I'll look into the injectors.
