Car won't start! HELP ME PLEASE

Today I changed my stock coil to an MSD one. I took it for a short test drive and I got on it and as I was letting out of it the engine died and as I was slowing down the car backfired. I came to a stop and tried to start the car. After a while the car started and ran rough for a few seconds then died. I tried to start it again and it cranked an ran normal for a few seconds then died. I couldn't restart it. I reinstalled the stock coil and that didn't help. I also had the ignition module tested and that tested fine. I finally got it to start and the car sounded like it was spark knocking real bad so I shut it off. Then restarted it and it ran fine for a few minutes and then it died and would not restart at all. Does anyone have a clue? I hope it isn't the optispark. I need some help....

Uh-Oh!!!

I have a bad feeling you may have fried your opti. If so, it is not a big deal. It is expensive though. Make sure you buy the whole thing...not just the cap and rotor.

It is possible that the more powerful spark whacked the factory opti. I had similar symptoms and it was the opti. Mine was just bad. I didn't do anything to it.

Be careful starting your car, because if it back fires while cranking, you will break the starter. That is over $100.
