car won't start help!!!!

Hi, Finally got the engine ready to go with a TH400 behind the LT1, all the ignition is new, however the wiring loom is all original, when the ignition switch is turned the security light comes on then goes off after about 10 seconds, the engine will not turn over or even attempt to, there is also no voltage going to the fuel pump (Bosch 044 pump) which is not in the tank, can anybody help.

The car is a 94 Camaro, auto, prior to the rebiuld it had a 4L60E transmission with stock shifter, now the car has a TH400 with a B+M mega shifter, the shifter has been wired to inhibit start unless in either park or neutral and also through the relay that sits behind the shifter
When the ignition is switched on the security light on the dash comes on in a steady state for about 10 seconds then goes off again, there is no click from the starter relay and there is no voltage at the fuel pump which uses the existing fuel pump wiring, the pump is now a Bosch 044 pump mounted extenally from the tank, all of the other electrics work, lights, horn, dash, windows and door locks from the remote etc, the car has almost completely been stripped, apart from the main loom and glass, also the complete A/C has been removed as has the passenger air bag.
Any suggestions would be greatly received. thanks

Jump out the theft deterrent relay. From yellow to purple wire. Caution. Doing this will enable the engine to crank in any tranny position.

If it cranks then but still doesn't start do to lack of fuel pump voltage then you obviously have an issue with the theft deterrent module. That would best be dealt with by doing the resistor bypass.

Relay is not far from the radio. Jump the yellow wire on pin 30 to the purple wire. Not pin 85.

The resistor bypass is on shoebox's website. You will be using the orange wrapped wires under the steering column.

No turn over charts from a 1996 service manual.

Others you may need....

Your 94 maybe different, but on my 96....the theft deterrent relay is to the right of the glove box. Take the glove box out and it is mounted on a panel to the right of the box. If I recall, you have to reach behind the panel to grab it. Inspection mirror will help. It's in a tough spot....hehe by design.

Your description sounds like the contacts in the key cylinder lock, for the resistor pellet in your key, has gone bad. Usually, that will make the security light flash. The bypass speedy posted will fix it(if the contacts are the problem). I had to do it for someone a few years ago(they didn't want to spend the money to change the cylinder lock).

Before you do all the above, try your backup key. The resistor pellet in your main key could be the problem.
