It starts fine when its cold. and i have no driveability problems. But if i stop for about 20-30 minutes, when i go to start it sounds like my 88' caprice did when it was flooded. It starts than dies. the second time i crank it it fires right up. This only happens every now and again, Any idea what this might be?

check the coil mine started doing this and just got so bad it just wouldn't start at all!!

 

I fixed the evap canister hoses that were starting to rot out, causing the can not to have the proper pressure. This took away the gas smell i was having as well as the problem starting it.
