Car won't start after being in garage for 2 months

I usually start it every couple of weeks-went out to start it yeterday and it coughed and jerked after the starter ran its course. It has been smelling like its been running rich, even after I swapped out the opti-crap last year around this time. Gotta go through emmisions @ the end of the month!

Re: Car won't start after being in garage for 2 months

I cleaned & oiled the filter yesterday after it wouldn't start, tried to start it after my post this mourning and it started. Ran really good for a 20 minute test drive then I pulled in the driveway & let it idle for a while, punched the throttle a few times to here her roar it seemed to have a slight miss and ping. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I forgot to mention its a 1994 z28 - no mods other than a k&n replacement filter.

If you can top it off with some fresh premium octane I'd start there first. Not to uncommon to have a batch of gas go stale after a hibernation period.

Might be as simple as that.

Goodluck!
