It will crank really fast, and crank and crank. It hesitates (stops) for a moment and starts cranking again. Occasionally, I get an intake backfire and a smell which can only be described as "ether-like". I have a new ICM, coil, plugs, wires and it won't start with the new opti or the old one. The car started and ran before I replaced this stuff.

 

Never mind. I took the opti off and re-installed it. It's good to go now.
