grr

here we go again

i was driving today and then i noticed like a sqreeching noise whenever the clutch was pushed in and then like a few seconds later the car just up and stalled out and wont turn back on, like it makes a clunk clunk noise or sometimes a scratch noise (kinda like the noise you hear when you turn the key after the cars started)

any ideas? clutch? tranny? starter?

its a brand new engine (less than 4000 miles)

 

Clutch or throwout bearing. Apparently your clutch is not totally disengaging when you depress the pedal. So you are probably scraping the flywheel and stopping the engine, kinda like stalling the engine by pushing on the gas and brake at the same time. Then again, I may be completely wrong. I.e, I don't know.
