Made a few pulls...

I FINALLY have the bugs worked out of my motor, and fixed a few wiring issues, and put that car on a dyno. I have never had my car on one. Made three pulls, and here is a graph of the last two. Outside temp was 85*, humidity was 50%.

Not too shabby for having a McLeod ST clutch, S60 rearend, and heavy-*** 17x9.5 LG wheels w/ET streets. Track times will be next.

No list..Scat cast crank, Eagle forged H-beams 6", JE forged flat tops, stock heads (worked over), Custom BRE cam, CC lifters, TF pushrods, Crane Gold 1.6's, LTx intake by Jordan Musser, 42# SVO's,etc, etc, etc. M6 built up by Six Speeds Inc-top of the line parts. S60 has 35 spline axles, Tru-Trac unit, 1/2" studs, etc, etc.

So the numbers are 387/386? Looks that way but the graph is hard to read. Any clues to the lift and duration on that cam? Either way they are decent.... I'd expect more from M6 though.

Cam is 24x-61x-10x..If you only knew how much loss, there was between a S60 and a ST clutch..

Big cam. The street twin and S60 can't be any worse than a high stalled TH400 on the dyno.

Can someone explain how the ST is a loss on the dyno?

if the aluminium flywheel is there, it has the same mass as a factory setup. if it's a steal flywheel, you only added as few pounds of rotating mass (which sucks). i have an aluminium flywheel if you are in need of it, for a ST of course.

I understand, but is it enough to make it even worth mentioning?

Rotating Mass really makes a difference the farther it gets from the center of rotation and the faster the rotation. A heavy clucth/flywheel combo will hurt on the dyno, but can actually help with the launch on the dragstrip.

i think they have the weight differance listed on their site. i can't remember the weight though and i am driving and typing lol. it shouldn't effect peak numbers much.

Scat crank is lighter than stock. Temp and humidity are corrected for by the dyno software so no pretending that hurt the numbers.

Dont lighter cranks only affect the speed the car can rev? I know once you get into a racing and a very high performance motor things change. But as far as lt1's go??

I have the steel flywheel, and I was blaming the weather nor the humidity for my hp/tq #'s, I was just mentioning it, b/c someone usually asks.

From what I gather the S60 is around 6% parastatic loss, over a 10 bolt. GMHTP did a test and another mag(dont recall which one) did one also.

I SERIOUSLY doubt 6% over the 10 bolt....
