Angry Car Won't start

Placed the key in today and all I got was a click, Tried it a second time and it did the same thing.

It started on the third try what is wrong with this thing ?

If I disable the VATS will I need to change the ignition switch as well ?

To disable the VATS, first you have to find out the resistance of the chip that is in your key. Next step is to go to an electronics store and buy a resistor/s that equal up to what the resistance of the chip in your key is. Then you locate the connector for the VATS which is under the steering column, unplug the connector and put the resistors into the prongs of the connector. This should dissable your VATS and it shouldnt give you any more problems. I came outside one day to leave for work and the car would start and run for like 3 seconds and then turn off, did this everytime. So I disabled the VATS, doing it as a discribed above and never had another problem with it. Its been a while since I did this so my instructions may be a little off. If you do it this way then you do not have to change the ignition switch. I know you can find a better write up on the procedure somewhere, maybe shoeboxs' web site. Good luck with the car. Dustin.

remote starter switch connect to starter see if starter runs if it does have wiring problem to ignition switch or its the switch it self
if it doesnt run check battery, cables and grounds and make sure your wires to starter are not touching eachother
