Car won't start,

I have posted this on another forum, and hopefully someone here has the answer.

94 Z28 6 speed, 50k miles. Stock. Wires and plugs replaced 10K ago.
Rolling down the Autobahn 90mph never missed abeat. Downshifted to exit, car stalls. Never restarts. Had it towed home. It sounds like it wants to fire on one cylinder.

180-185lbs compression per cylinder
42lbs fuel pressure.
Injector voltage tested with Noid kit
No codes, autoxray reader
Computer replaced (PCM for less)
Bright spark at spark plugs.

I am guessing something is affecting the timing, but no codes?

I would take it to a dealer, but it would cost me an Arm and a Leg, 100 Euro/hour ($125 labor) plus towing, parts. and I haven't heard anything good about them.

let me have your ideas.

I am about to order an Opti and an ICM just to eliminate that. This is getting expensive.

thanks
tom

Are the plugs wet when you checked them? Did you check all of them for spark?

this will help you to make sure that everything was tested and tested compleatly. http://mainstreamtopics.com/forum/in...p?showtopic=78

now other then this, I did ahve a friend I helped online go throgh a no start. he had just replaced his opti about 3 months ago. then car would not start. compression a little off but good. had spark, injector pulse, fuel pressure everything. it turned out the new opti he got was defective and the screws that hold the rotor on backed out. something to keep in mind

slopokrodrigez,
yes the plugs are wet, and I check 5 out of 8 for spark. Figure the last 3 were too difficult and I am pretty sure of the results.

after reading the link that HBHRacing posted, I am leaning more toward the Opti again.

thanks
