Car won't idle

Car won't idle

runs fine but when i come to a stop the idle drops to 500 and then goes back up after a few seconds? what gives? it is tuned and has heads/cam

Tuned by who? I'm suspecting rockers could ba djusted too tight causing it to not be able to idle properly (this would be the most common cause). Other than that likely tuning doens't have the idle set high enough - most peope have their warm idle around 800 rpm that i talk to with even mild cams. Check your valve lash first and make sure those rockers aren't too tight.

i think they are because it is backfiring a bit, i will readjust them in the morning and it was tuned by pcmforless. It is also pig rich and throwing a code, is suspect it is the o2 sensors but i will have to wait untill autozone opens in the morning to find out.
