Car won't crank (sometimes)
Car won't crank (sometimes)
The other day, I was going through my fuses as my check up for the car before I embark on a 2,000 mile road trip next week. I removed and then re-installed the fuses for the PCM(both inside and under the hood) Since then, sometimes when I turn the key the car cranks once and shuts off. It usually fires up the second time, just wondering why this might be. And yes, I know this is what I get for messing with something that wasn't broke.
Thanks,
Keith

sounds like the resistor in your key is bad and the vats system is stopping your car from cranking. may be the contacts are dirty in the key igniton switch maybe clean it with some alchol and a q tip and give it a whirl .if that dont work ill consult w/my local chevy garage mechanic.
