Car will not start...
Maybe there is something I am overlooking, but here is the story. I was driving the car a few weeks ago when all of a sudden it would just cut out and die. It felt like it was running out of gas. I would just start it back up and it would drive fine. It became worse with the car cutting out more often. So I took it to my mechanic to look at it and he thought it was the opti. So I brought it home. It sat for about a day and I moved the car, then tired to start it the following day to work on it. It would not start. So I bought a new aftermarket opti. The old opti looked like water had leaked into it. After I installed the new opti the car would still not start. I hvae checked the fuel pressure, and it is fine. The car does have spark, the opti was installed correct, and the firing order is right. I have also checked all the fuses. Any ideas? The car is a 1994 Camaro Z28 btw...
Can't give you the silver bullet but only suggest a few quick checks of the basics. Check compression first to be sure all 8 are equal. Then if that's ok, check the fuel system by squirting fuel directly into the TB while cranking it. If it still won't start, then either you don't have spark to enough cylinders or the spark is occurring at the wrong time. If it gets down to spark, recheck your wiring for correct connections and check spark at each plug. If each plug has spark then it must be occurring at the wrong time. (provided you did the other checks first and ruled out fuel and compression).

Here is a diagram Lt1 opti firing order
Just double check them, i just recently changed my plugs and had wire numbers 2 and 4 mixed up.
I believe 93's and 94's have a spline drive to the opti. And therefore they are easy to install the opti out of time. If as I said before, you have checked compression, checked wiring order, checked spark at each cylinder and squirted fuel into the TB, the only thing left is spark timing. However, you have quite a few steps to check before arriving at that conclusion.
Remember to check the wiring order first.
