Hey guys,

My car is vibrating pretty bad (not jaw-rattling but def. annoying) and I'm not sure what's causing it. At higher speeds it rattles like crazy (and i have an aluminum driveshaft); I checked my wheel balance and that turned out OK.... my rear tires (BFG drags) at 30 lbs pressure and fronts (toyo proxies) at 35 lbs tire pressure...


I've checked to see if anything is lodged between the K-member and the motor/exhaust, but I found nothing. I tried blocking off all of the EGR tubes I could see (2 open holes on driver's side on the same tube toward the front and 2 on pass. side one in front next to alternator the other back behind the motor) but that didn't fix anything. I just don't know what the hissing noise is coming from. Car still runs pretty strong, but I dunno whats wrong.....

HUMMM....SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING that sometimes happens on my car. The SES light will come on and the fans will turn on under the car...humm weird isnt it?????

 

Vibrating like a "shaking engine" and Hissing. Sounds like a vacuum hose came off or something. Did you check that? When you disconnect a vacuum line it will hiss and vibrate depending how bad the vacuum leak is. Or it could be a coolant leak hissing and the vibration could be a burnt plug or plug wire that came off and your minus one cylinder. I had that happen to me a few times.
