I have a '94 pontiac firebird trans am, i was driving on the freeway when she started to lose power and slow down, and she eventually cut off. I've had no problems with her until today, I think the problem might be the igition module, but Im not sure, looking for any suggestions as to what it might be.

 

Start easy and then work toward the complicated. Start by relieving any fuel pressure at the schrader valve. Cycle power 6 or 7 times to on for 3 seconds and then off without cranking the engine. Then check the schrader valve again to see if pressure built up.

If that appears to be ok, check a few plugs for spark.

If that's ok, check the injectors for pulses.

Scan for codes.

 

The motor only needs 3 things to run. Air, fuel, and spark. Find the one it doesn't have or isn't working properly and you may have your answer.
