car stumbling bad

my 95 z has developed a nasty habit whenever you come to a stop it surges and stumbles real bad unless you put it in neutral then it only does it a little. when driving there's a little surge but it only gets real bad when you come to a stop and idle, any ideas?

Re: car stumbling bad

I have recently developed the EXACT same problem. At idle, the car runs like it's missing, unless it's in neutral, and the the idle goes up to about 900 and it's smoother. When I come to a stop or just leave off a light, it stumbles and vibrates, but then it smoothes out about 2500 rpm.

If anyone has any idea's..PLEASE email me..Or PM me or something..

My particular car has had new plugs/wires/opti in the last 8k miles..No check engine light or anything of the sort..

Re: car stumbling bad

I can't believe no one on here has any suggestions. I'm guessing this problem has come up with many LT1s before, if we both have the exact some deal.

Id check your wires and your plugs. If there is nothing wrong then start working your way around the ignition system to rule things out, one at a time.

I had the same thing happen, but it happend to be a wire that was ripped in half somehow....
