Car stumbling after engine heating up
Car stumbling after engine heating up
This all started after washing the engine (I know!) but has been setting for 3 weeks so I wouldn't think moisture is an issue now.
I've got a 94 Z28 that stumbles after the engine warms up (after a few miles down the road). It starts cutting out and missing, then dies and won't restart. After fouling out some plugs trying to start it, I replaced them with new ones and it started right up then as it warmed up died again.
Fuel pressure is good, spark is good, atleast at startup. Any idea why it does this when the engine heats up?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Here is what fixed my problem on my 94. ICM cooling mod.

Sounds exactly what mine would do. Example, I would sit at a light, idle would go up, then down, then want to die out. I would start to move and it would die. It would take a long time cranking but start up and stumble/miss/jerk. I would let it cool down and it would run just fine until warmed up again. I did the ICM cooling mod a couple years ago, never had a problem since. I am not saying that this is your problem because I am not there looking at it, I just posted it because it sounded very familiar. Best thing is, if it is the problem, it was a free fix. Can't hurt to try it.
