car still not right and gas mileage is LOW

this thing still aint running right. left o2 still reading lean. not sure what everything else is supposed to read. wont shift at WOT. and gas mileage is LOW. i filled it up till it was bout to run back out and i only went 98 miles before it was time to put more gas in it. i only have 3.42's and a 2800 vig. stall. i put a new o2 sensor in and it read the same as the one that i took out. i checked all connections and they were fine. it was running fine before the heads n cam swap. i get code 33 from time to time. i changed plugs n stuff. what else can i do about the sensor reading low. i read a previous post about the bosch sensors. could that be my problem. my other one(the one thats reading ok) is a gm o2

Most people will tell you that the Bosch O2s are junk. I wouldnt trust them on my car just for the simple fact that O2s are parts that should last well over a year and beyond, and Bosch's last about 3 minutes in some cases.

Do you have any exhaust manifold leaks, Collector leaks? Leaks will make o2 see lean condition, and pcm will add too much fuel.

i have a header collector leak but by it being behind the o2 would it matter. people run cutouts behind the header.

If the leak is within 6 or so inches, I've been told by my blower tuner, that it does matter. For the price of gasket?

My tuner advised factory steel gaskets @ header to head connection. I just bouught a set of aluminum, but have not installed. If flange serfaces are flat and square, bolts tight, seems like they should work. Are you running factory injrctors? Did you reprogram PCm if not?

Re: car still not right and gas mileage is LOW

If none of the above works, find a local tuner with a dyno, and a wide band o2 sensor, maybe your tune is !.
