Ok just got my 383 finsished..now when i go to start it it turns on for like 2 seconds then shuts off...then i had someone hold the throttle open half way..now when that happens the car stays on.do you think i should turn the fuel pressure up?or is it something else??

 

There are a few things you should check. Start with vacuum leaks. And Check your IAC and reset it. Start with the little things first.

 

Starts for 2 seconds and then dies, but will stay on with the throttle open... sounds like the car is sucking in air AFTER the MAF. Check for any misalignment/leaks after the MAF.
