Car starts and dies

My 93 will start up and then die, sometimes it will start up just fine and run fine, other times I can get it started and rev it up but it wont idle and runs kinda rough. I have replaced the plugs and wires, The plugs are getting spark. Do you think it could be the ICM??

Thanks

could very much be. when my icm took a dump, the car would turn on but wouldnt go over 3k rpm's. it would die as soon as it hit 3k. in D or in P. if you have a friend with an lt1 swap coils with icms to see it if fixes it.

I dont have any friends that have 93 LT1s. Can I use one off of a 94-97?? They have a different part number than the 93s.

Thanks

Ok now the car doesnt even start, it will act like it is going to start then backfire. I havent gotten to try a different ICM yet, but I know the plugs are getting spark. I bought this car about a month ago, it ran bad so I replaced the plugs, 3 were orginal with 118,000 miles on them, it ran great after that, then it started to miss so I decided to change the plug wires and the exhaust manifolds leak so I figured take them off and replace the gaskets and plug wires at the same time. So when I was doing that I found one or two plugs that were backing out so I figured that was the problem, well I got it all back together and it wont start. I check the wires and they are in the correct spots, I did them one at a time. I cant figure this out, I guess tomorrow I am going to buy a new ICM.

i know that a 94 coil/icm will work on your 93. we took the coil with icm off my friends 94Z and put it on mine. it it fired right up.
so i think other years could work too?

after a while my car wouldnt start either. sounds like we have the same problem.
