Car starting problems HELP.....
OK, the car was having problems starting. It would click every once and awhile and then it would start. I did not want to be stranded anywhere so I bought a starter at NAPA. The car has a brand new battery and alternator. I replace the starter. I go to start the car and click, try it again click. After several attempts it finally turns over. I go for a 15 minute ride, come back, turn the car off. Try to start it again and click. After a few more attempts it starts. This motor is a 383 stroker with 650 miles. The problem appears to be getting worse. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have check the ground on the passenger side of the motor. I am out of ideas.

It is random.
Turn the key and you hear the selinoid click or engage but the motor does not turn over. Like if your battery is low on charge.
After two or three more attempts at turning the key the selinoid will click or engage and the motor will turn over and start.
It seems like the start is having a hard time turning the motor over only at certain times.

Sounds like either a bad connection to the starter or the switch the clutch depresses to allow the car start. I have seen both of these cause the symtoms you described. Hopefully its one of these simple fixes. Could also be the starter silonoid, but i doubt it.
