Car stalls at launch
Car stalls at launch
I have a 93 Z28 that is stock except for a CAI. I have noticed recently that upon a hard launch, the car will nearly stall several times initally, and finally gets going. The car has also completely stalled twice, and when this happens, the engine turns over a long time (2-3 seconds) before it fires up. It seems like this could be a fuel problem to me, or I could be completely off. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks for the help.
By the way, I recently took another user's advice and cleaned my MAP Sensor, an idler control (can't remember the name), and cleaned my intake manifold and throttle body with Sea Foam carb cleaner to help eliminate the problem, but it apparently failed.
