Car sounds like a desil inside.

I put my wet setup on yesterday. I started my car and everything worked and sounded fine from the inside. When i went to drive it i started it up and closed the doors and noticed that it sounded just like a desil. I steped outside to check and it sounded normal there. Inside it still sounded like a desil. The sound increaces and gets faster with higher rpm.

Is it preignition?

By wet system, do you mean a nitrous setup?

you sure you hooked up your WOT switch right? it could be spraying when you turn on your car. Just a thought.

Your "problem" is not really a problem. It is a common thing in LT1's. It's sometimes referred to as "piston slap". The material the pistons of the LT1 are made of condenses when it is cold. I am assuming you live in an area where it prolly was pretty cold lately. With the pistons condensed, a bit of air can blow by the piston, which makes the noise. You might even hear a slight ticking type sound under the hood.

Mine does it each year just as winter starts. I put it up for the winter, so I don't get to hear it throughout the winter, but it always goes away once it starts warming back up. Also, if you start it and it is doing it, let the car warm completely up, till the fans kick on. By that time, the dieseling noise should be a lot less noticeable as the pistons have expanded to where they should be.

I was quite alarmed the first time I heard mind doing it, and this is the information I was provided with.

BTW, I wouldn't really mash on it at all while it's warming up if the weather is cold. If you are experiencing "piston slap", hammering on the gas is not a good thing to do until the car is warmed up. When mine is doing it, I never take it over 2k rpms until it has warmed up completely...

Hope this helps...
