Sorry to bring up an old thread, but what exactly was your car doing before you fixed it? Mine likes to shut off when it nears 180* and now has been starting to shut off even sooner. It will start back up after it has cooled down though. The coil isnt giving any spark when it shuts itself off. ICM?

icm

yup that is exactly what happened to my car ... it would just shut after like 2 minuets of idle ... i thought i had a bad opti and i checked all my plugs / alternator ... i eventually changed the icm and it worked

another thing ... i recommend u buy it as a genuine gm part ... i got a bad generic icm from autozone which kind of threw me off ...
