Car runs like s***, HELP!

I have a 97 TA and my buddy just installed heads, intake, cam, rockers,TB, injectors, etc. The car ran awesome for about 2 days, which I drove about 100 miles. Then one night I was pulling it in my garage and it just died. I starting it back up after cranking on it for about 30 seconds and it ran like crap. When idling, the rpms surge from 1k to 1.5k and when I rev it up it just spits and sputters and wants to die. I can't even pull it out of the garage. The SES light has been on for a while, so I rented a cheap scan tool from autozone and it shot out a code for the MAF. I then swapped my MAF with my friends and it still ran like crap. With the key on, I then checked the voltage on the pink wire connecting to the MAF. The pink wire wasn't getting any voltage. I heard it was supposed to get 12 volts. Would this cause my car to run this bad? My buddy and I checked everything else and we think it is probably my opti.

CHeck your ENGINE fuse, that ussually blows & you get no MAF, it also sometimes blows because the wires for it run along side the passenger header & get burnt.
