car runs like doodoo with LT's installed

Well, they sure sound good. Here's the problem, at part throttle in lower RPM's there is no power, almost feels like its missing soehow, at about 2500 rpm's she runs alot better, but if I get on it down low there is no toque at all, makes a nasty sound too. The idle is fine and the higher RPM's are ok too. I double checked my plug wires and they are good. It randomly throws the SES light and then it just as randomly dissapears. Anyone care to guess? Maybe a mail-order tune or LT4 KM??

LT4 KM would be a defiante thing to get now.

It's gonna feel like it has no power down low, because of the open headers...

I get a lt4 KM soon then (tomorrow)
And the headers have a hooker 3" y-pipe that currently is not hooked to the rest of the cat-back (waiting to get the hooker I think)

I'm thinking (hoping) its not my o2's because I have like 200 miles on new delco's. I'm gonna call the local dealership tomorrow to see if they have an LT4 KM in stock by slim chance, if not I'm gonna call Jason Cromer

I still have a hard time believing it can be knock retard. He is probably getting some, but not the full 17* or whatver it is, the only way you would even notice 5 is at full throttle accelerating hard. Plus, when i ran open ypipe on macs and noisy rockers i wasnt getting hardly any. does it run totally normal after 2500? if so knock retard wont go away at higher rpms, it will only get worse. sounds kinda like either an o2 or opti type problem. hook up that ypipe though and see. still get an lt4 km, but in my opinion that doesnt sound like the prob, could be though!

Installation, crazy, is simple as removing the two bolts that hold the pcm in place, pull the pcm out, then on the back side you will see a small rectanglular cap thing with two round holes in it with screens in them, take the two bolts out holding that cap in, pop the old km out put new one in, reverse installation, no programming required.

To ask a similar quesion I installed Shorties with Y pipe...I have no cat or exhaust at the moment...but the car doesn't feel as powerful it feels well...laggy. Is that also becasue the headers are open?
