Spinner, check to see if it has a t-stat, somebody may have removed it and they dont cool properly without one. Also, check the air deflector on the bottom of the car, make sure its there, those parking lot curbs like to eat them. When you check/ replace your t-stat you'll need to bleed it for sure then so just plan on it.
Generally, retarded timing will make an engine run hotter/warmer. I'm not sure why the LT4 knock module would pull timming. Actually putting the origingal k.m. back would be my first step just to verify if that was causing the higher temps.
Hope tat helps.

Are you sure?? I always thought Retarded time runs cooler and Advanced timing runs hotter. Not talking about computer pulling timing here cause if the puter pulls timing as in retarding timing then that means it was too advanced and detonating to begin with... see what I mean?

I had the same problem with my car the first night i had the Cam (cc 305) in. It started fine and drove good but it was runin hotter than sh*t! I couldn't figure it out, i have a 170* stat, TB bypass, SLP fan switch and Meziere elec. W/P. Turns out i hadn't topped of my coolant, and thus also bleed the system. That was my probs. after installing a cam.
Hope this helps

Something a lot of folks forget is to replace their pressure cap. If it is not holding pressure you can definately have over-heating problems. The F-Body stock cap is 18 psi which is really high compaired to most. A new cap is only a few bucks and is cheap insurance.

Good Luck
